Pink sky at Bandon Beach Oregon Coast. The protected driftwood on the beach with the stunning sun-set pink sky forms a beautiful landscape. We love this beach, one of the best coastal beaches on the Oregon coast for photographers to visit. Getting to the beach is off Highway 101, south of Florence that is on the coast. Most of the parking is free, with easy access, but any State Parks will charge a day fee.
Driftwood is one of the natural features that gives Bandon Beach its unique character. Along the shoreline, pieces of weathered wood are carried in by ocean waves and tides, creating fascinating shapes and patterns in the sand. Some pieces are small and smooth, while others are large tree trunks that have traveled down rivers or along the Pacific coast. Visitors often enjoy walking among the driftwood, photographing it, or simply admiring how nature has transformed it over time. Together with the sand, sea stacks, and crashing waves, Bandon’s driftwood creates a peaceful and rugged coastal landscape that reflects the power of the ocean.
Sunsets on the Beach as the day nearly ends are among the most beautiful sights on the Oregon Coast. As the sun moves toward the horizon, the sky can fill with shades of orange, pink, purple, and gold. The warm light reflects across the Pacific Ocean and highlights the dramatic sea stacks rising from the water. Visitors often walk along the sand, watch the waves, and photograph the changing colors of the sky. Driftwood and rock formations create striking silhouettes against the sunset. As daylight fades, Bandon Beach becomes quiet and peaceful, offering a memorable way to end a day along Oregon’s scenic southern coast.
