I named this Gallery, "Don't Be Square" because after I came back from my photography field trips, I went into Photoshop and created a square photo. I wanted to create a different perspective of the subject.
The photographs in this collection take you on a visual journey through some of the most memorable landscapes, landmarks, and unexpected sights along the Pacific Coast and beyond. Discover the wildlife and natural beauty of Bandon Wildlife Park, followed by the dramatic sea stacks and sandy shoreline of Bandon Beach on the Oregon Coast. Explore the fascinating cobra lilies at Darlingtonia State Natural Site and experience the colorful waterfront atmosphere of San Francisco’s Fisherman’s Wharf, complete with its famous signage and sweeping Bay Area views.
The journey continues to Heceta Head Lighthouse, one of Oregon’s most recognizable coastal landmarks, before heading south to Menlo Park, California, and the historic St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Across the Atlantic, London comes into view with the striking Millennium Bridge spanning the River Thames.
Along the way, the photographs also capture some wonderfully unexpected moments—a pigeon beside the Bay and the mysterious Monster at Yaquina Bay State Recreation Site in Oregon. Together, these images bring coastal scenery, wildlife, historic architecture, city landmarks, and curious roadside discoveries into one colorful visual journey.
