We love going to Bandon Beach on the beautiful Oregon rugged coastline. We love staying at the Best Western Inn, at Face Rock. They are "Dog Friendly" and the beach is very close. The Old Bandon Town is great for gift shops, art galleries, ice cream parlors, and great sea food restaurants. The rugged Highway 101 runs along the beautiful coastline, and some beaches are easy access and others are too dangerous to get to accept Bandon Beach is one of the most spectacular stretches of the Oregon Coast, where miles of sand meet the Pacific beneath a remarkable collection of offshore rock formations. The beach is especially famous for its sea stacks, each shaped by centuries of waves, wind, and weather into distinctive silhouettes. Among the most recognizable are Table Rock, Face Rock, Cat and Kitten Rock, and the striking formation known as Wizard’s Hat.
Face Rock is perhaps the best known, rising dramatically from the ocean near the shoreline and becoming especially impressive when viewed during changing tides and evening light. Nearby Table Rock adds another unmistakable landmark to the coastal panorama, while Cat and Kitten Rock create a smaller but memorable pair of formations. Farther along the shoreline, Wizard’s Hat earns its name from its pointed, hat-like profile.
Together, these formations give Bandon Beach a character unlike almost anywhere else on the Oregon Coast. At low tide, visitors can walk across broad stretches of sand, explore the shoreline, and see the rocks from different perspectives. At sunset, the sea stacks become silhouettes against the glowing horizon, creating one of southern Oregon’s most memorable coastal landscapes.
